Paws at Peace (“we,” “our,” “us”) offers pet‑loss grief and caregiver‑support counseling. This notice explains how we handle your personal information when you use our counseling services.
What we collect

Contact & logistics: name, email, phone.

Intake information (via Jotform HIPAA): items you choose to share to help us provide counseling.

Pet information: pet name, species/breed, age, sex.

Payment information: processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
How we use your information

To schedule, confirm, and conduct telehealth sessions (Google Meet).

To provide counseling services and follow‑up resources.

To manage payments, packages, and cancellations.

What we don’t do

How we share information

Within our team: with authorized staff and your counselor to deliver services.

Vendors (service providers): Google Workspace/Meet (video, email, calendar, file storage), Jotform HIPAA (intake forms), Stripe (payments), and our scheduling tool. These vendors are contractually obligated to safeguard your information; we limit access to what’s necessary.

With your permission: to coordinate with another provider.

When required by law: e.g., safety concerns, court orders, or mandatory reports.
Where we store information & security
We use secure, access‑controlled systems including Google Workspace (with a Business Associate Agreement) and Jotform HIPAA for intake submissions. We apply least‑necessary access, multi‑factor authentication for staff, and other reasonable safeguards. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and review controls regularly.
